NEW! OLD! SIGN! HOST!

So, I had a fantastic weekend.

Friday, Boyfriend and I went to our favorite bar where they had The Discovery Channel on. This is big for us since we're both lacking cable at home. Anyway, we watched TV, had drinks and enjoyed the night.

Saturday, I got to sleep in. He got up at 1030, I slept until 1230. I love sleeping in! We were both hungry when I finally got up, so we went to the store and he proceeded to make us delicious breakfast sandwiches and potatoes. We hung out for a bit and then I headed home to take care of the Deedles. I ventured back to his place b/c it was time to make homemade pizza! He did most of the work... and when I say most of the work, I mean everything-- I only helped put the veggies on top. The sauce he made was super good, as was the crust. He wants to perfect the crust, but I think he got it right the first time. Oh well, this just means I'll be forced to eat more homemade goodness. We watched a little TV and then headed out for a few hours.

And Sunday! Sunday was great! My friend L's landlord is a funny guy. He made a ton of money on the stock market, is 43 and pretty much retired. He's thrown himself into his rooftop garden, hosting moveon.org volunteers, etc. He knows this hippie-ish couple in the neighborhood who are similar to him. Yesterday they were having people over for food and drinks, so Boyfriend and I went. It was so cool. They live in an old Puerto Rican disco club. They gutted the place (left the stage) and now live in it. It's basically an old garage. The husband restores old Jaguars, so there's 5 of them in their house! They sleep in an old Air Stream trailer, also in the house. It's the coolest place. I want it. Their backyard is also to die for. Tons of plants and flowers and nice furniture. The company yesterday was really great. We got to talk about the war (one guy is an Iraq war vet who is opposed to the war), politics, etc. Lots of issues that are usually off-topic for first meetings. We were all pretty much on the same page with everything. A few slightly differing opinions, but nothing that got any of us up in arms. We stayed and chatted for about 5 hours before it was time to head home. Then it was laundry and visit with Gretl time. Busy day, but really nice.

And for the record, Gretl and I are ok now. I just don't want to really talk to her about it anymore.

Starts with a Brush then comes a stroke.
