NEW! OLD! SIGN! HOST!

I think this was the busiest 3-day weekend ever.

Friday we went out (of course!) to one of the local favorites. We were having a jolly time, and then friend of the boys from out of town came and things took an interesting turn. I haven’t seen this kid be an asshole, but well, he’s interesting. When I met him the first time he was talking about his trip to South America and how he picked up some girl at a bar and took her to his room only to find out she was a hooker, so he kicked her out and threw her clothes out after her. Best part, he has no trouble paying for a hooker, he just has to know up front. So yeah, this is who we’re dealing with (for the record, had they not grown up with him, they wouldn’t be pals). He’d apparently puked in the airport, and then was kind enough to puke AT THE BAR on the FLOOR and then kept drinking. I’ve never seen anything like it- puke and drink. Then he started being loud and obnoxious and got sassy with the bartender. Thankfully the bartender was cool and a pal of ours, so we didn’t get kicked out. The next night he was told he had to hang out with other friends b/c my brother was supposed to come to town and we didn’t’ want to expose him to this mess. We’re not sure what happened to him, but we know he was kicked out of his hotel room by his friends and ended up in the emergency room with head trauma. 6 staples it took to close his head. We don’t think he was beat up b/c his face wasn’t bruised, so maybe he just fell down. He has no idea. You’d think that would scare him straight, but I don’t think it will. Apparently he goes to the hospital often after getting his ass beaten for getting sassy with the wrong person. I’d personally be terrified if my head was split and I don’t recall what happened, but that’s just me.

Saturday I had a wedding with H. It was a Christian-Indian wedding. It was long, kind of interesting. I scoffed though when there was talk of the wife being a servant and stuff like that. Sorry, not happening at my wedding. They also didn’t talk at all to each other. There was no exchanging of the vows or anything. We didn’t stay long at the reception, instead we dashed out, put the convertible top down and met up with the usual group.

Sunday was our ONE YEAR ANNIVERSARY!! Can you believe it?! One year!! We made each other cards and went to the Thai place we went to on our first date. Then we (he) made dinner that night and we went back to Rainbo where the magic started. Ha. It was a nice, nice day.

Yesterday, I had a cookout. Beer, games, food, great way to spend a day.

Oh, my bed and water heater broke this weekend. YAY, I was hoping to go into more debt! Thankfully the water heater is still under warranty, but it’s still $500 for labor. Good god.
