Thanksgiving weekend was about 10 times better than I was expecting. It started Wednesday when Boyfriend came over. We made lasagna for the next day and stayed in and watched Mommie Dearest. Yes, a nice, happy holiday movie. (ha) I'd never seen it... it is possibly on my Top 10 list of favorites. I thought it was hilarious and disturbing all in one.

Thursday we went to L's house and had a great day. Her boyfriend cooked, we chatted, had some wine, had some laughs and got to watch cable. L, Boyfriend and I headed out around 1230 for some late-night drinks.

Friday was for sleeping in (again), cat sitting and a little Wii playing. Boyfriend and I saw American Gangster that night. I really enjoyed the movie. It is far less violent than I was expecting. The 2 hours and 37 minutes flew by, well, if you don't count the horrible 3 Doors Down video for the National Guard. That was a big waste of time/my life.

Saturday my ma came. It was a nice visit, but I'm broke now. Gretl and I got to pay for everything, including her manicure and pedicure. She just called me though and thanked me again for everything. The good thing is that she finally knows how much our mortgages are, so maybe that will push her to get another job or for real ask for more money. I felt a bit resentful b/c while she's picking things out at Ulta 3, I found a nail polish I wanted. It was only $7, but I couldn't get it because Gretl and I were already spending enough on her stuff. Granted, she didn't go haywire and actually put stuff back, but I dunno, I guess I just miss treating myself to stuff sometimes. Unbelievable that 7 stupid dollars is making me sad. Oh well. Money isn't everything and I need to focus on what I do have and be happy about it. There is a lot of positive energy in my life, I just have to remember that it's there and to use it.
