Title of the Piece: Cast a line

When did I last update? I don't think I've posted since we were hoping for the boot cast. Well, no such luck- it's a cast cast and he hates it. The look of devestation on his face was a bit heart breaking. He's doing better, but still hates it. We have to fly on Monday to SC-- I'm hoping for a business class upgrade. That's right, we'll, or I'll, use this cast to our advantage.

Friday was his birthday. I ate one too many greasy empanadas and had to go home because I thought I was going to lose my marbles. I stayed put for an hour and then went back out. I didn't drink, just hung out. It's probably good that I didn't drink because 3 of us went back to his place after the bar closed-- there was him on crutches and a few beers going up 3 flights of stairs, me and then one of his good friends who had waaaay too much to drink. Too much to the point that he almost fell backwards down the stairs. Lovely.

I'm excited not to be at work for a whole gosh, more than a week soon. It's going to be great!
