Title of the Piece: Art, play, sushi, puke

NEW! OLD! SIGN! HOST!

I had one of the best weekends I've had in a long time.

Friday consisted of 2nd Friday's in Pilsen (bunch of artists open their place/space for people to come and enjoy). Then I had a great cab driver back to the neighborhood where I met up with Boyfriend and Co. I got a little miffed at the 3am taco joint b/c they couldn't figure out how to make more than one thing at a time, but aside from that, it was a fun evening.

Saturday Boyfriend and I slept in. He went home and we met up a couple of hours later for a play. L met us, too and was almost on time! The play was in Lincoln Park, which means lots of trixies being drunk on the sidewalks b/c apparently everyone was Irish this weekend! *squeal!!*
The play was cute. My friend Susan's dad wrote it and last weekend was it's last run. Boyfriend, L and I were hungry when it was done, so we went for sushi. This meant we had to work our way through the crowd. I sent L first because she's fiesty. She's little, but will get where she needs to be whether she says excuse me or pushes. She went the pushing route with the Trixies and they didn't like it. One girl yelled out to her "you're HUGE!!" so L said some choice words back. I told the girl she had a fat ass. Terrible of me, but I could.not.handle.
All of this ruckus almost caused L and I to step in the puke that someone was kind enough to leave on the sidewalk-- before 8pm. Redonk.
Sushi was good. We got to sit at the counter and watch them make it. We spent a good hour and a half, 2 hours at dinner. Wanting to avoid the crowds, we hopped the bus back to L's. Things were great until a car pulled out and a the bus hit it. It was so loud-- I honestly thought we hit 3 cars and someone was dead. Turns out, we smashed the front drivers side (from the side) and no one was hurt. I was amazed. It was totally the car driver's fault, but I'm sure the poor bus driver will have to undergo drug/alcohol testing, etc. We left our info and continued on our way.

Yesterday, was morning sex, brunch and then home. Gretl text messaged me to see if I wanted to go to the store. At brunch I mentioned wanting to go, so her text was a welcome invite. We bummed around, got some food, went home, napped and then go together to make dinner and lunches for a couple of days.

I don't know why it's so different, but it really was a nice weekend. I guess maybe not spending both nights in bars helped set it apart.

Starts with a Brush then comes a stroke.
