oh hai, I turned 30 on August 1st. Because this is me, I have to first mention that the weather was horrible and that is why I never plan anything. Last time I tried to plan, it was 105 out and no one wanted to be outside so Gretl had to break that news to me. This time, it was 70 and rainy, but thankfully people were OK with that. What did I do? I hung out on the deck with a small group of friends and loved ones. There was a housewarming party going on at another apartment, so some of those kids came for a bit. Anyway! I drank, danced, had a pinata (which I couldn't break open) and overall had a really good time. I love my friends and my life and of course, the boyfriend. I'm also liking being 30.

In other news, my little DeJour kitty has been diagnosed with hyper-thyroid, which means medicine for life. She's been really, really good about taking her pill, so I guess I'm not as worried about it as I originally was. This means though that I need a cat sitter to come twice a day whenever I'm out of town. Thankfully I live close to family and they're willing to pill her. The first trip is this weekend-- the BF and I are heading to Philadelphia for a few days to visit friends and I can't wait. I need a break from work. Off ot run errands!
